Do you ever think about it?
- Do you ever think about what happened 13.8 billion years ago in nothingness?
- You believe what physicists say in countless theories, that there was a gigantic bang that no one could hear or see, because nothing existed except for the singularity from which everything emerged.
- Do you ever think about how the universe, born from this gigantic explosion, created an incredible amount of space in just a few seconds?
- Do you ever think about how in 13.8 billion years, the universe has expanded to have a diameter of around 92 billion light-years?
- Do you ever think about how the universe is expanding out there, faster than the speed of light?
- Do you ever think about how only the space of the universe can expand faster than the speed of light?
- Do you ever think about how we humans will never see the stars beyond 13.8 billion light-years away in the universe?
- Do you ever think about how we might be the only intelligent beings in this gigantic universe?
- Do you ever think about how reptiles and dinosaurs together inhabited the Earth for over 300 million years, while we humans haven’t even managed 300,000 years since the first Homo sapiens appeared?
- Do you ever think about how, even if you include our ape-like ancestors, we only reach an existence of roughly 8 to 9 million years, which is just one-thirtieth of what the reptiles and dinosaurs achieved?
- Do you ever think about how humanity has managed, in just 150 years of industrial growth, to exploit, poison, and destroy our planet so thoroughly that its salvation no longer seems possible?
- Do you ever think about how humans cannot possibly be the most intelligent beings in the universe because we make such a mess of things?
- Do you ever think about how one of our worst traits is greed—the greed for power and money, as seen in Putin, Hitler, Lukashenko, Assad, Musk, and many others?
- Do you ever think about how the world in 2100 will probably be sparsely populated, polluted, and poisoned?
- Do you ever think about how humanity could go extinct within the next 200 to 300 years?
- Do you ever think about who or what might inhabit the decaying planet after us?
- Do you ever think about how our successor species might be robots controlled by artificial intelligence?
- Do you ever think about how the world might recover under the rule of AI-controlled robots?
- Do you ever think about how even the AI-controlled robots might not be able to save the world, because we humans were just too thorough in destroying our environment?
- Do you ever think about all these points, or do you not care, just as 99 percent of humanity doesn’t care what they’re doing to their planet?
- Think deeply, human. You think, therefore you are. But what are you? A destroyer or a person who truly reflects on what humanity has done to planet Earth?
